OUR GOAL
United By a Purpose
The UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students (TACS) is a student-run non-profit club at UBC. Our team manages a free, government-certified tax clinic, while also hosting various events and literacy programs. Our goal is to promote tax literacy and provide our members with valuable networking experience.
OUR EVENTS
TACS' Event Highlights
TACS Launch Event: Let’s Talk TACS!
Our annual Welcome & Networking Event provides an opportunity for students from various UBC programs to engage with accounting professionals, campus ambassadors, and esteemed Sauder faculty members.
TACS Meets Tax (TMT)
Our flagship networking event brings together tax professionals from the Big 4, mid-sized public practice firms, industry firms, and students looking to pursue a career in tax. Our goal is to help students to learn about tax practices. By building connections with professionals, they can find the right career path for them.
TACS Talks Recruit (TTR)
Students have the valuable opportunity to connect with delegates from various public practice accounting firms at our event. This enables them to foster connections with recruiters and gain insights into the diverse career opportunities available in Vancouver.
TACS Teaches Tax (TTT) Series
TTT is a collection of individual workshop events organized in collaboration with various campus organizations. Through these workshops, TACS aims to educate students on the process of filing a Canadian income tax return and address any inquiries they may have.
